Creality CR Scan Otter in a nutshell 

The Creality CR-Scan Otter is a small-to-mid-scale NIR (near-infrared) scanner that can both run and swim; a poetic nod to the scanner’s increased versatility.  The handheld scanner is equipped with four lenses that can scan in 24-bit color with high detail. It has a wide range, with the ability to capture objects as small as 10mm up to 2000mm. It has an anti-shaking feature for smooth scanning and reportedly can capture black and metal objects without the need for a spray coating. The Otter also offers some hand-holding quality-of-life improvements, including color LED lighting to indicate tracking and distance quality from the scanned object and physical buttons for direct control of operations.

Innovative Four-lens Stereo Vision

Two sets of dual lenses, catering to details and various sizes. A set of long-focal dual lenses for scanning small objects, providing richer details; a set of short-focal dual lenses for scanning large objects, covering a wider range of sizes.

Ultra-High Precision

Otter adopts the state-of-the-art structure-light stereo-matching algorithm and optical design to faithfully reproduce the authentic texture and contours of objects. The scanning accuracy of up to 0.02mm ensures every detail is sharp and clear.

Anti-shake, Smooth, and Efficient Scanning 

Equipped with One-Shot 3D imaging technology, the CR-Scan Otter is naturally stabilized and less likely to track loss. Fast backtracking speed ensures smoother handheld scanning. Scanning speed up to 20 fps.

Scan Black/Metal Objects Without Spraying

Even without scanning spray, you can scan cars, car parts, tires, and other black/metal objects to get the desired model effect.

Outdoor Scanning 

Engineered with advanced DOE (Diffractive Optical Element) 3D structure-light technology, CR-Scan Otter has higher environmental adaptability and maintains excellent performance even in sunlight (<30000 lux).

Clear Capture with Built-in Lights 

Even in low-light environments, this allows for the most realistic texture effects. Two supplemental LEDs help precisely capture details, faithfully reproducing the color and texture of objects.

24-bit Full-Color Scanning 

Equipped with a million-pixel full-color RGB camera and an exclusive color mapping algorithm, ensuring exceptional capture of model details and colors.

Supports Marker Scanning 

With 8 infrared lights, it better tracks marker points, applicable to objects with fewer scanning features. Under marker mode, it will achieve higher accuracy.
